Delhi Darwaja is one of the twelve surviving Gates of Ahmedabad. It is located to the north of the walled city where the Salt Marchers entered. At this point the amassing crowd and marchers were funnelled into the narrow streets of Ahmedabad.
Orphan Gates

The Gates of Ahmedabad are the most prominent remains of the city perimeter as they have been preserved unlike much of the surrounding walls. While the gate originally served as protection from marauders, the gates are now left in isolation often functioning as no more than a roundabout.
